Your script should be in either $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/apps/<app_name>/bin/ or $SPLUNK_HOME/etc/searchscripts. It's best to put your script in the app directory.

Right I tagged the repos raher than my local copy (which didn't work foursome reason), 13596 contains two files for the updater module checke din my murdos that i didn't notice
