Nested Loop (cost=0.00..3992.76 rows=143 width=61) (actual time=0.128..623.557 rows=115422 loops=1) woah, those are so incorrect stats!
bloody various artists

if thunderbird's quick search is right (up to you whether you believe it, it can't count unread emails so I wouldn't be surprised if it can't search either), then this month there was 1 of those ISEs on the 5th, 16 on the 8th, 5 on the 9th, 1 on the 10th, 23 on the 12th, 47 on the 13th and 41 so far today
So it didn't try to download album art from MB but tried and apparently succeeded to download from Amazon.
But it still did not display the cover art.

Ok, and now it's changing my nick too...
I wonder if it only does it after a period of time has elapsed.
I'll leave it as is for now, and if it annoys anyone then please let me know :)
Sophist-UK
As I said, zas is looking at the cover art thing, so if you can create a jira ticket and assign it to him and point to this chat-log, he might be willing to take a look.
nikki
Sophist-UK: please use a pastebin or something to paste multiple lines
Sophist-UK
Ah - sorry.
nikki
it's more readable that way too :P
Mineo
Sophist-UK: the amazon image for that wasn't used because it's a 1x1px image
Sophist-UK
Ah - but olaf_ had added cover art to the MB database. Should Picard be downloading it from there?
Yes - I have seen some rules for guessing Amazon cover art in the Picard code.
Mineo
I'd really prefer people adding cover art to the caa than trying to find more methods to guess amazon urls :P

Hmm - Amazon have a web service which allows you to get XML with the actual image URLs for the images associated with an ASIN. I doubt ifthis would be good for Picard, however (and I am bering in mind what Mineo said about CAA) MB could use this to get and store the image URLs for the product which could then be providing in a WS response.
ianmcorvidae
MB isn't allowed to pass along the URLs like that, it's against the TOS
we already have those image URLs, it's how we display them on the page
Sophist-UK
Ah.
For the album olaf_ referred to, MB is using caa for the web page.
Not amazon.

CAA takes precedence, yes
Sophist-UK
I just enabled CAA in Picard and retried the cover art download.

It still didn't work. Picard downloaded the JSON file form caa which has the URL for the actual art in it, but Picard never tried to download it.
This may be what zas has already been working on.

i guess this bad time to get help
Sophist-UK
Or perhaps no one is interested. :p
reosarevok would love to help, but he has no idea :)
Its fine - zas is working on this area of Picard at present, so he is really the person to look into it.

a side note now if i do cpanm . they all there
ocharles
ianmcorvidae: can you do a beta deployment for me? I haven't yet got vpn quite working in nixos yet
specifically, vpn works but takes out the rest of the network :)
re: hotfix I was just wondering if we think this is important enough to fix on production sooner than next release :)
ocharles
I don't think so
I'd like to see it proved on beta first anyway
ok, out now, byee!

repeatedly copy-pasting the same poorly-phrased call for help every couple hours isn't a very good way to get help

well emailing does not help i email this around monday
ianmcorvidae
emailing the same poorly-phrased call for help every couple days doesn't really work well either
I'd recommend you read the error messages you get and try to figure out what's going wrong, instead of pastebinning them and trying to convince someone else to solve your problem for you
I'm not sure why oXQQ has the carton stuff in what he's saying, that's incorrect
(unless you set the local::lib patch like I said with eval $(perl -Mlocal::lib=...)
)
Lewis_
i just use cpanm to see if all was in
ianmcorvidae
you seem to be failing to understand what I'm saying to you; unless you've issued the command I mentioned several lines up, carton and cpanm install to different places
bitmap: ping, have you looked further into the require.js stuff at all? wondering what/if I can steal to my less branch :)
bitmap
ianmcorvidae: I'm in the process of splitting things up so it's easier to review - it's taking a while, though :/
