I purchased a new wireless keyboard to use with my laptop on tuesday

so tempted to just buy a beefed up thinkpad

only after I tried to set up the connection I realized that my laptop does not have bluetooth.

(purchased one of those small bluetooth dongle thingies the next day, and it's working fine now)

I now have 60GB ssd, and another 120GB ssd. I can put windows on the 60, and PostgreSQL + Linux on the 120

and everyone here laughs when I say I have 4gb ram, but I still think 4gb should be more than usable for a bit of dev work

maybe linux has made me too trusting of OSes

for normal work 4GB should be fine, more is nice if you play with virtual machines.

base memory usage on windows is probably a lot higher compared to linux though.

my motherboard only supports a max of 8gb

which is again why I'm wondering if it's really worth doing any upgrades other than drives here

my windows 8 machine is currently using 1.7 GB. (EAC + ps2 emulator + VLC running).

Most of that I probably wouldn't do if they were on an SSD. :)

But again, I'm also on Linux.

my setup is crazy - desktop has os on an ssd, and /home nfs mounted off a raid setup

guild wars 2 is making me want an ssd for my windows, tho; it's just on an old 500gb drive and game load times are horribly slow :)
