ruaok mails the DDEX head about his thoughts on an open source DDEX implemention
then again, so is the RDF WS :P
andreypopp
ruaok: actually we need to force them to create FAQ, public mail lists for users and implementors… I'm getting several e-mails from per week asking for DDEX template we are able to process, "because we're not sure what part of spec to implement"
ruaok
srsly.
do you have DDEX contacts?
if not, I can make intros.
andreypopp
yeah, I have
ruaok
cool.
I went to the "open implementation meeting"
it would've been better titled "open meeting about DDEX implementations"
murdos
ruaok: I agree so much...
I was hoping they had talking about their promised open source implementation too
ruaok
sadly, no.
I think zvooq/mb/last.fm will be the first ones to create an open implementation
woot!

you just reminded me that I need to ping your successors about finally releasing the RDF dump stuff.
that's fine, there are still some releases left :-)
also, my set_language script takes release/medium titles into count
after the BBC review script is finished I can set the language of 20k releases :-)
nikki
english?
hrglgrmpf
yes…
I tried it with French, Spanish and German, but my method worked only for like 10
either the dictionaries are not as complete, or there are more words from other languages (English!), or there are more non-dictionary words (names…) or there are just not many non-English releases left with unset language
or all of them
I guess 95% of the releases with unset language are English anyway
