Gentlecat: for the list of languages, it would probably make sense to use the same list as mb... not entirely sure what the best way to get the list is, but we already have a languages file in transifex that could be used without retranslating everything
ianmcorvidae might have a better idea of how to do that
Gentlecat
I'm still not sure about my current implementation
ianmcorvidae
we don't actually provide that list, it comes from the obnoxious thing we get all our locale stuff from
for the language-names-in-native-language list, I mean
nikki
I mean the list of languages for selecting the review language
Gentlecat
ideally it would be great to have the same set of languages everywhere
nikki
that would make sense as the same list we use for release/work languages
ianmcorvidae
oh hm, okay
UmkaDK joined the channel
that of course changes as we enable things, but you could parse the languages.pot file I guess
nikki
I think the chances of someone wanting to write a review in a language we need to enable on mb is pretty low, we can presumably just handle that manually :P
ianmcorvidae
heh that's probably true

ianmcorvidae, ping
ianmcorvidae imagines an indignant email to support@ asking why they can't write their review in San Vicente Coatlán Zapotec
ianmcorvidae
pong :P
Leftmost
Ooh, I want reviews in that...
ianmcorvidae
(also, doing 'select * from language where frequency = 0 order by random() limit 10' produces all sorts of things that just sound like they're made-up names :P 639-3 is full of crazy stuff)
Leftmost
Hey. Just wanted to let you know that bb.o is pointed at rika now. All that's missing is SSL. There are self-signed certs in my home directory and I have config stuff that should work if you need it.
Also, no rush.
ianmcorvidae
oh, yeah. should do that
Leftmost
There are lots of crazy languages out there.
nikki
I wonder if it would be better to default to hiding the dropdown, and have it say something like "this review is written in: english (change)" where english defaults to the current interface language and clicking the change link will show the dropdown
Gentlecat
ianmcorvidae: any suggestions about python on rika?
nikki: yeah, it might be better
ianmcorvidae
yeah, I believe there's no 2.7 on rika -- do you need it for some reason?
Leftmost
639-3 is also a bit of a pain because it makes distinctions that no speaker would ever make, but oh well.
Gentlecat
I think there are too many actions that need to be done before review publishing
ianmcorvidae: new version of WTForms depends on one of new functions
but I don't need new version, so that's not critical
