bitmap: I just wanted to ask whether is it necessary that the templates you were talking about should be done via flask?

bitmap: I have been able to create a simple method by using a gulp plugin that just includes html files.

as in just generating static files instead?

sure, so generating static files to deploy is probably fine

that you're already using flask does mean it might be easier to just do the whole thing in that, but generated static HTML would also be fine

(or, well, since you're planning to use flask)

ijabz, ruaok, whoever else it may concern: https://github.com/ianmcorvidae/search-server is a provisional import for the search server codebase, and https://gist.github.com/ianmcorvidae/90cee5033d... is the users file used to import that -- if folks have things that should be added to the latter for a reimport, or fixes to the former that I've missed, please say

(I'm guessing some of the authors don't appear in the actual search server stuff, but are from other pieces -- checking that now)

(yeah, looks like all the actual commits in search_server have proper authors)

Gentlecat: for the list of languages, it would probably make sense to use the same list as mb... not entirely sure what the best way to get the list is, but we already have a languages file in transifex that could be used without retranslating everything

we don't actually provide that list, it comes from the obnoxious thing we get all our locale stuff from

I mean the list of languages for selecting the review language

ideally it would be great to have the same set of languages everywhere

that would make sense as the same list we use for release/work languages

that of course changes as we enable things, but you could parse the languages.pot file I guess

I think the chances of someone wanting to write a review in a language we need to enable on mb is pretty low, we can presumably just handle that manually :P

Hey. Just wanted to let you know that bb.o is pointed at rika now. All that's missing is SSL. There are self-signed certs in my home directory and I have config stuff that should work if you need it.

I wonder if it would be better to default to hiding the dropdown, and have it say something like "this review is written in: english (change)" where english defaults to the current interface language and clicking the change link will show the dropdown

yeah, I believe there's no 2.7 on rika -- do you need it for some reason?

639-3 is also a bit of a pain because it makes distinctions that no speaker would ever make, but oh well.

I think there are too many actions that need to be done before review publishing

Is there some other way to find 'new stuff' than to look at all the db entries for the artists I'm interested in every time the db is updated?

Suppose I'm asking if it's possible to consume the replication packets in some other way in addition to applying to the db.
