mac ports makes the port to the os you run it on
      • 2009-11-13 31748, 2009

      • Muz
Ah, so it wasn't building a universal package.
      • 2009-11-13 31748, 2009

      • NXISGOD
so if ur running leopard, it does not add the extra parameter to make it use the tiger sdk
      • 2009-11-13 31720, 2009

      • NXISGOD
nope. but good news is we have a leopard port, which shud run on snow leopard... i hope... if not, ill have to make 3 mac os installs on my pc

      • 2009-11-13 31737, 2009

      • NXISGOD
      • 2009-11-13 31742, 2009

      • Muz
It's not that big of an upgrade considering it's mostly backend changes/fixes/improvements.
      • 2009-11-13 31709, 2009

      • Muz
End user featurewise, it's rather lacking and hard to justify such a steep price.
      • 2009-11-13 31724, 2009

      • NXISGOD
        29 bucks is cheap...
      • 2009-11-13 31752, 2009

      • NXISGOD
windows users are like reaped at the cost of 100-200 bucks per copy these days
      • 2009-11-13 31712, 2009

      • Muz
The changes and feature set is significantly different, but you're just trolling now.
      • 2009-11-13 31744, 2009

      • NXISGOD
so we'd assume snow leopard will have a slower adoption?
      • 2009-11-13 31749, 2009

      • Muz
Well, it certainly loads on Snow Leopard, which is an improvement over Tiger.
      • 2009-11-13 31758, 2009

      • Muz
but don't consider the application tested, not got time for that atm.

imo it does not look very great in mac...
      • 2009-11-13 31710, 2009

      • Muz
It does stick out like a sore thumb, yes. But that's because you're using Qt.
      • 2009-11-13 31723, 2009

      • Muz
It doesn't fit in on Windows either, to be fair.

would it be feasible to convert the size of icons to say 32 px

      • NXISGOD
        or 48px

        whichever. all platforms
      • 2009-11-13 31712, 2009

      • NXISGOD
32px toolbar icons on windows and mac would be awesome
      • 2009-11-13 31734, 2009

      • NXISGOD

      • 2009-11-13 31729, 2009

      • nikki
what does it normally look like?
      • 2009-11-13 31713, 2009

      • NXISGOD
like you can drag the toolbars around
      • 2009-11-13 31719, 2009

      • Muz
That certainly looks better on OS X, not so keen on that idea for any other platform, mind.
      • 2009-11-13 31744, 2009

      • NXISGOD
i was about to go code a way to toggle the dragging bit on or off. but seems mac does not usually like that
      • 2009-11-13 31704, 2009

      • NXISGOD
you can pull the toolbars out of place if you drag them and have them float around... but im not a fan of that and it would look out of place on picard
      • 2009-11-13 31744, 2009

      • NXISGOD
if i now make the icons bigger, it would look heaps better, yeah?

ruaok: some people object to showing 'age: 243 years' or something for persons which don't have an ending date in the db.
