Ive posted the source for it and the isrc extractor

The ISRC extractor works on drives that traditionaly DONT support ISRC extraction

I have no idea how ISRC extraction works, but that sounds cool :)

most methods use a aspi call to the drive simply requesting the data

does it work in linux?

This is the meathod dbpoweramp cdda2wav uses

mine does a raw read and decodes the data from the subchannels

yes, if somebody would add isrc support to libdiscid on linux, that would be cool :)

the old version used readcd under cygin and was written in managed code

the source code for my isrc ripper is in the zip its in c++ someone could port it to linux its oly a 200 lines
