Ok, I'm thinking of the "appears on" page for artists

at the moment, that uses the release of everything as the year, but for l_artist_recording, that doesn't make sense - a recording has multiple releases

So I either don't bother with finding the year by release (and instead just display the recording and hope the begin date of the relationship is ok)

aCiD2: I'm torn between whether or not to use a table. I think it looks funky to have a table, but the major advantage is that there's an easily readable artist column.

aCiD2: I think perhaps the headings in the table should be swapped, with the darker heading for date/title/artist and the lighter for the individual appearance types.

Several rows of 'Foo by Bar' just doesn't work as well because of the different lengths of text.
