it's 1.6 though. because sony wants to mess up android some more and it takes them half a year to mess up 2.1/2.2 enough before they think it is fit for consumers.

I would like some arrow keys though, I keep noticing a typo several letters back and I'm nowhere near accurate enough to just touch the exact place I want to backspace

yes, I rooted the phone with those. but that was on windows, I'm in linux now where I don't have all that SDK stuff installed.

jdamcd: I did not notice anything particularly broken.

it doesn't honor orientation changes, which is slightly annoying, but not a huge problem.

(this device will change orientation when the keyboard folds out, it's not fun using vertical oriented applications with a horizontal physical keyboard)

yeah, I want to get everything working horizontally in the future

it means writing an additional version of every layout XML file though

so it wont be in the last week of SoC ;)

cool, converted my personal email to gmail apps too, so there's awesome integration with the gmail app and contacts

k-9 mail is awesome for using your own IMAP server

it's on about 35% brightness, and already it's brighter than the g1 on 100

on the N1 the screen is the #1 battery user. I'd be curious to see how that differs on your phone.
