anyone encouter issues w/ mb not tagging a file? I've run into an issue at least 1 out of 3 albums I tag, where all but 2 or 3 of the files get tagged.
to get the missed files to be tagged, I enter misc data in the album field and have mb overwrite the bogus tag i entered

whats odd is, even blanking out a files tag doesnt mean mb will tag it, it takes some type of entry into one of the fields
and its chronic to a particular mp3, trying to have mb tag it 3, or 4 times does no good

next version of the client uses a totally new taging library, so hopefully it'll just go away

yeah, and i think that tag skipping one still exists
i tried i last night, and i'm 85% certain i still had the issue. I had to stop using it when it didnt rename my files :)

yeah, I've had no luck tracking that one down. tagger is such a total pain in the ass to debug

because tagger is written in borland c++ builder 5, and everything else is compiled in msvc, and they don't seem to understand each other's debug info

when using mb to tag filles on a mapped network drive, it looooooves to crash

I do all my tagging that way, I never thought about that as a factor

yeah, running tagger locally on the machine w/ the mp3s no crash
running tagger on a diff machine and tagging to a mapped drive...crash
its maybe once in every ..5 or 6 albums
the source and dest for the tag/rename is the same mapped drive

Heh, when I was just getting started w/ this project to id3 tag all my mp3s, and trying out .10.0test3, I saw the alternate dir structure for "VA" titles and though, interesting. Now that i've done a few VA's w/ .90, i want that feature :(
