        heya!
      • someone know what is the id3tag attribute TCON?
      • navap
If you google "tcon id3" you'll find the ID3 spec that lists information about that frame.
      • Lin
navap, thank you. BTW, im having a strange behavior. To remove some attributes I have to run eyeD3 --remove-all two times.
      • navap, to you knoiw a little about id3 structs?
      • navap
That is strange, I've never used eyeD3 though so I can't provide much help with that.
      • Lin
i have tried to remove some attributes set by musicbrains
      • these especific attributes cannot be removed. I have tried with many tools
      • songbird, rhythmbox. mp3tag, id3tag, eyeD3 to name a few
      • navap
I've used Mp3tag, it works extremely well.
      • Lin
        navap, indeed do.
      • navap, but that attributes are ntoe removed. They are Genres by tag, set by musicbrainz FM plugin.
      • that webmusicstore
      • navap
Have you gone through Mp3tag's options and made sure it's set to remove everything when you click 'remove'?
      • Lin
        yes
      • around byte 0x800, (it changes because the id3tag size is variable)
      • TCON...-...Brazil, On The Road, Brazil Pop, Eu Vou Estar - Capital Inicial, Capital Incial, and goes on.. til it find the attribute TSOP
      • in rhythmbox and songbird it reads these data as a genre.
      • I want to clean JUST this attribute. But no program can reach it.
      • The only program able to clean it need to run --remove-all two times.
      • but I dont want to lose my id3 data.
      • Just this attribute.
      • seems it is encapsulated.
      • neothe0ne1 joined the channel
      • don't seems the TCON attribute, i have read in docs it is the content type.
      • TCON is one byte (now numeric)
      • cannot fit all that string
      • btw strings are a array of integers
      • =/
      • integers are numeric =D
      • i have mor ethan 5000 files with this problem.
      • I dont want to code to fix mp3 =)

      • heya! musicbrainz automaticly download covers?
      • kurros
picard can if you have the Cover Art Downloader plugin installed and enabled
      • and the album is linked to amazon (and has usable cover art)
      • Lin
        kurros, thank you
      • kurros
actually the cover art downloader plugin probably supports the Has Cover Art At relationship as well but thats rarely used. just to be pedantic :)
      • Lin
i have already downloaded and enabled it.
      • I have scanned 50 albuns. where canI check if they have covers or not?
      • Show->Cover
      • =D
      • kurros
        aye :)
      • nikki wouldn't call over 20,000 cover art relationships "rarely used" :P
      • Lin
i have 50.000 audio files here.
      • most of them are already tagged. (but i did that 3 years ago
      • im retaggin to check if more info was added (as cover, year, and album details ;-)
      • kurros
well. rarely used for the albums most users are interacting with, maybe :)
      • its still just cdbaby/archive.org stuff right?
      • Lin, yeah i do that occasionally, too. hurts when I notice it correct a typo thats gone unnoticed for many months/years.
      • Lin
yeah. and about the capitalization fights

kurros: they mostly are, yeah. I do agree that quite a lot of people won't come across that many, I'm just being pedantic too :)
      • kurros
        fair enough :)

nikki: im sure you're not interested, but it turns out King Record Co treats back ground vocal and chorus different too
      • based on a Nana Mizuki booklet i just read
      • i have a suspicion they're sometimes used interchangeably, but that cant be when both "Chorus" and "Back ground vocal" are i the same track
      • nikki is interested!
      • warp
        time-of-day!
      • nikki
I didn't find any in the cds I've got here (they nearly all only have chorus, a couple only have background vocal), but I don't have that many here and they're nearly all from the same/related labels

      • hello :) does anyone have any fairly complicated edit release event edits, that were added in the last month or so?
      • something that adds/removes/edits multiple events in a single edit?
      • nikki
adds and edits are separate edits
      • I guess removes are submitted separately too...
      • aCiD2`
        Nope, they are grouped together
      • or at least... they should be
      • or could be anyway :)
      • nikki
they're the same edit type, but they're submitted as separate edits
      • wait, no, there's an add release events and an edit release events
      • aCiD2`

      • aCiD2`
I'll have a look, it could be too recent though
      • I think this is doing the right thing though. Hopefully sometime next week I can start doing some real edit migrations and getting feedback
      • navap
Hopefully I'll have submitted my editpage branch for review by then.
      • I feel like I've been working on it for months now :/
