btw i lave some strange issue in picard (win32).. it doesnt seem to be able to read any emtadata at all from my music files

notice all the numbers arent present? on franz it jumps from 41 to 43

if you downloaded them illegially, I don't need to know

but if they came from a legal download site such as iTunes they might be protected or in a weird format that picard can't handle

nope.. clean mp3 with idv2 *and* idv1 tags

the mbtagger client seems to read them ok though

koogah2005: not that I'm aware of, they've gone closed source with cddb v2

yes... but even though they are closed source, they still provide some html output that should be parseable

use the tradck parser

anything that is in cddb but not freedb is likely to be a recent release... remember cddb stole^H^H^H^H^H borrowed there data from the original open project

what do you think about remasters getting their own MB album?

i'm not clear on whether that's encouraged or not

9 out of 10 remasters have bonus tracks so..

it was originally issued on cd-r in very limited quantities

it was remastered and re-released recently

and the discid of the remaster has been added already

ideally you could attach the disc id to a release set later and say in an annotation (of the release set for example) that this is a remaster. even better would be having entities for the audio data behind that can be linked with a "remater" AR
