Martin there was a big todo about it in the mailing list.

I will usually ask, without a response I will go and vote no of course, if I can't find something on it myself.. and I've spent upwards of a half an hour to an hour looking for things.. so, more often than not I will ask for proof on something I'm unsure about.
      • 2006-05-01 12155, 2006

      • Nyght
Martin it is a lot of work. But, we sorta of locally decided (a few of the automoderators and a few non automoderators ) that the add artists since they're a step away from being automodded in are pretty easy to vote yes on all but the obvious ones.. (like the other day we had "beatles" attempted to be added)
      • 2006-05-01 12148, 2006

      • Nyght
so relative quick yeses there would help a lot.. and it's not too time consuming. That and I try to vote on the removals and moving since that's something automoderators have to have voted on anyways.

it's not so much the lack of the THE... but, it's how old of a band? I mean.. if the DB didn't have beatles what would the db be? (not that I have any Beatles in my collection.)

teleGUISE: that's like someone trying to add Metallica's black album.. or Dark Side of the Moon, or The Joshua tree.. for lack of believing it wasn't already here.

wait thats screw up..... i thought it checks the artist alias... obviously it does -not-, it only checks for searches not adding an artist.. thats kind of silly!

But, I don't know "what" specifically. As I said, I've been getting tons of failed dependancies, and I haven't been doing the silly things I was with TD... and. I've had some artists deleted (granted) but, artists that have pending mods aren't showing pending mods

lots of artists have been being created, something I don't normally do. Track moves that claim they've already been moved..
      • 2006-05-01 12118, 2006

      • Nyght
um... (and I've been going back and double checking open mods more so people don't have to vote more often on crap than is needed)
      • 2006-05-01 12136, 2006

      • Nyght
what else.. artists showing no mods pending when I know there's mods pending.
      • 2006-05-01 12154, 2006

      • Nyght
this album has already been moved.. when it was my mod that was to move it. (basically it got moved, by the mod being voted in and then afterwards it seemed to try and move it and then poof.) almost like since the athorize vote has come in it doesn't recognize the authorization and then it calculates it later?

      • teleGUISE
it just seems like we would have a whole heck of a lot more wrong artists if it didnt... i mean what the heck is the purpose of adding a typo'd alias if it is only good for searching...
      • 2006-05-01 12111, 2006

      • Nyght
as I recall it used to use the sortname.

      • 2006-05-01 12110, 2006

      • Nyght
or vote for it to be deleted.. yeah, that's what I meant
