one comment to start with: if you are installing from the SVN sources, then the INSTALL file is authoritative

Prodoc: second, I prefer to use CPAN directly for installing perl modules.

perl -MCPAN -e shell

set the dependency checking to 'follow'

and then all you need to do is say:

install <module>

and if there is a dependent module that needs to be installed, it will install that for you.

just one and I answerd no so it configured itself automagically :-D
