hmm, I'm not sure you can do it to releases, you can do that to tracks though
xlotlu
aCiD2: and an ASIN for that matter..
Jugdish
i just think the fonts are bigger than they need to be and there's way to much empty whitespace on most pages
luks
one ASIN to multiple releases?
xlotlu
luks: box set
symphonick
maybe talk to brianfreud about his excel-script...
luks
ah, ok then :)
xlotlu
:P
well, it's only 5 edits... after adding 30 tracks by hand and hand-editing som e50 more i can live with it :)
aCiD2
Jugdish: Well, I did make the fonts smaller on my branch original, but luks increased it by .5px to make it consistant with what we have currently, but it's still a tiny bit smaller
but cause it's so scalable now, you can easily resize your font down and the whole layout will shrink
luks
but increasing fonts sucks if I have to do it manually every time I open mb.org :/
er, s/fonts/font sizes/
and I can't do it globally because then other sites would break
Jugdish
font sizes is just a minor nit, the really problem is all the super padding and wasted screen space taken up by the current layout
brianfreud
on the excel script, I can do ASINs with it, but I prefer not to use it for that - too easy to bypass the js
luks
MB needs complete redesign, not only fixing some spacing / sizing issues (IMO)
brianfreud
agree
Jugdish
ok, but who's gonna do that?
brianfreud
I think aCiD2's project is step one of that
luks
I'd do the coding/html/css/anything part if somebody can design it
brianfreud
get it compliant, then get it clean, then change it
Jugdish
yeah, we need to gradually move towards the ultimate goal, rather than just stopping dead in our tracks because really we want something with a much larger scope
sounds like we could use an artist though :P
brianfreud
less user resistance too, if we change it gradually
luks
Iuser interface designer
I'd prefer...
:)
Jugdish
totally
brianfreud
yep
aCiD2
it has to be gradual, just attempting this project made me realise how damn big mb is lol
Jugdish
someone with website usability expertise
acid2: at least you don't have change a separate .html page for every artist :P
