        you just don't sort tracks
      • 2008-01-14 01444, 2008

      • luks
or, you do sort them, but always by the track number
      • 2008-01-14 01407, 2008

      • pronik
would suffice for most cases, it's a lot better than current unsorted view
      • 2008-01-14 01445, 2008

      • pronik
maybe we should put the poor-man-solution in now and plan the done-right-version later on?
      • 2008-01-14 01453, 2008

      • luks
        no
      • 2008-01-14 01443, 2008

      • luks
if I get track list "4 - Asomqew, 2 - Bwerw, 10 - Cwrwer, 1 - Dwrwer" then it's definitely not better than unsorted view
      • 2008-01-14 01451, 2008

I don't have picard open currently, it seemed to work better than this yesterday
      • 2008-01-14 01409, 2008

      • pronik
        oh, well
      • 2008-01-14 01429, 2008

      • pronik
then I'd have to dig into model/view code ;)
      • 2008-01-14 01442, 2008

      • luks
and c++ code, and sip bindings, ... :)
      • 2008-01-14 01400, 2008

      • luks
as I said, the model in python is too slow
      • 2008-01-14 01455, 2008

      • pronik
        a nice exercise ;)
      • 2008-01-14 01426, 2008

      • pronik
or maybe pypy will get faster than cpython before that ;)
      • 2008-01-14 01440, 2008

      • luks
I've written the "item view" code in picard in every possible way
      • 2008-01-14 01402, 2008

      • luks
the current one is very limited, but the only acceptable solution
      • 2008-01-14 01451, 2008

      • pronik
so it boils down to different sorting orders and columns for each tree level, doesn't it?
      • 2008-01-14 01457, 2008

      • luks
        yep
      • 2008-01-14 01416, 2008

      • luks
well, in simple case to not sorting at certain level
      • 2008-01-14 01427, 2008

      • pronik
        defined as (level1 = (AscendingOrder, AlphaNumSorting), level2 = (DescendingOrder, TrackSorting), level3 = (RandomOrder, NoSorting))
      • 2008-01-14 01458, 2008

      • luks
        there is no level3, I hope :)
      • 2008-01-14 01447, 2008

      • luks

        third level is under "clusters"?
      • 2008-01-14 01429, 2008

      • mudcrow
no idea, the info on discogs lists 8 tracks and mentions a cd-data track, we have the same release with 9 tracks, with last track as [unknown]

it should not affect you playing the CD in a normal cd player. the cd player will not see the track. and any trailing data tracks should be removed from MB entries
