Quick question: I have a CD and on the last track, it's titled "A Geordies Song (Live, feat. The King Blues)". Shall I go with "A Geordies Song (live) (feat. The King Blues)" OR "A Geordies Song (feat. The King Blues) (live)" OR stick with what's on the CD OR None of these?

Has there been any recent discussion on adding Music Genome Project metadata to tracks in the Musicbrainz database?
2008-04-22 11343, 2008
zimage
I was thinking that if we started tagging tracks with "MGP- jazz influences" for example that would be a good way to start before an actual semantic framework was set up.
Muz: I wouldn't want to see the comments in here either, but without them, what good does it do to message in here just the names of existing tickets? Maybe only message in here on new ones?
2008-04-22 11345, 2008
zimage
I was thinking of the "MGP" like a namespace, like saying "Music Genome Project describes this as having jazz influences"

BrianFreud, showing that someone has commented on a ticket brings it to the attention of others that htere's activity on the given issue, and encourages them to participate on the ticket and provide further useful input
2008-04-22 11336, 2008
luks
I think the namespace doesn't add any value to the tag
2008-04-22 11356, 2008
zimage
Well, if it gets popular, then it's easier to convert it to RDF and store in semanticaly.
2008-04-22 11327, 2008
Muz
BrianFreud, then again, confining what kind of activity it spews on is trivial :)

if there is a known list of attributes, it would be easy to convert it even without the namespace
