I checked only a few albums, and they still have asins in the DB

I believe the script did run - he mentoined that it wasn't putting much extra load on the server, or something

But I thought it was only on the test server?

Can you check it using the client library?

adhawkins: it doesn't matter, it's easiest to check using the website (Details -> XML)

if you see the <asin> element there, it's ok

and it will be available via getAsin()

The ASIN *is* showing up in the XML for the Norah Jones album.

But my app doesn't get it...

Any debugging I can put in my app that might help?

Yep, ASIN is missing from that.

So what do I need to do to 'fix' this?

well, the usual workaround is to edit the ASIN AR to some other type and back to ASIN

but I wouldn't bother right now

there must be some reason why it had an ASIN in the DB and now it doesn't
