I'll go with the vgmdb name, it's close enough

I think most of the problematic translations were created using the following approach:

1. identify where in the game the track plays

2. come up with a nifty name that matches the scene where it plays

It's commited, but now svn up is breaking (so presumably something broke)

Anal pedantry on templates with a hope to make there as fe interface and design cahnges from teh current site as possible

its a *japanese* one so it ets the japanese right, any errors it has in on the english side of it, as uposed ot having the errors on the japanese side, the way english based translators do

JWPce works for me for most purposes and I have a small understanding of how japanese works

but since the only thing it gives me for the third character is 'hole', it doesn't help much ;P

Would anybody be terribly annoyed if I set up a bunch of "collaborated on" relationships for unambiguous "ArtistA & ArtistB" one-off groups? I kind of already started, but I thought I'd ask...

Surely that's the whole point of the relationship?

e.g. http://musicbrainz.org/show/artist/relationship... didn't have the relationship recorded previously; it's making my pretty graphs less informative than they ought to be

as long as you are not going it automatically and know that they are indeed collaborations, I don't see a problem

yeah, I'm checking that the credited albums / songs make sense and both artists seem to be the right people; otherwise leaving it alone.

yeah, just make sure they are actual collaborations, if the only thing present on the artist is a single track from a VA compilation, that track is probably misattributed

Sometimes VA albums are so weird about credits, though -- does ArtistIntent come into play when a label decides to credit you differently on a compilation?

And if so, is it better to merge down to one artist (say, change http://musicbrainz.org/track/7933a65c-2c66-4ec1... to "feat. Tina Turner" and credit directly to Bryan Adams)?

It seems like we'd do better to either do that, or just record the collaboration anyway, so at least we know that both Bryan and Tina were somehow involved in that recording, even if not exactly how they should be credited...
