Hey, does anyone know if the "Clear existing tags before writing new tags" option is functioning or not...getting a weird "bug" when trying to view/play files via XBMC
      • 2008-10-05 27926, 2008

      • Shokpin
I have to clear tags via Tag&Rename then tag in Picard before they're readable by XBMC
      • 2008-10-05 27953, 2008

      • ruaok
odd. but I have no clue there. sorry.
      • 2008-10-05 27927, 2008

      • Shokpin
i would imagine Picard's "Clear" would function the same as "Remove" in T&R
      • 2008-10-05 27909, 2008

      • Shokpin
but it doesn't seem to. of course..i don't know why I should even have to! just some weird glitch between Picard and XBMC.
      • 2008-10-05 27932, 2008

      • Shokpin
        They're playable pre-Picarding. But not after..unless I clear them first with T&R

So basically...tagging with Picard, while tags are already written to the files, messes things up just enough that XBMC doesn't like them...but tagging from a clean slate works fine.

it just seems strange, if predictable, that the industry itself hasn't come up with a standard way of making that sort of information available via a uniform interface (and monetized the heck out of it)
