I was using safari for a bit lately... I just killed it because it was using 12 gigs of virtual memory with two tabs open ¬_¬

the keyboard is a bit cramped. but I have no trouble reading the screen when having gnome-terminal set up as 160 characters when full screen.

(which is important, because 160 characters fit two source files side-by-side :)

I'm ok with the eee's keyboard in general, it's just the keys round the edge, like I keep hitting up instead of shift

I wish my fingers used the left shift more :/

hmm, I do have trouble typing when my nails get long though

i'm annoyed that some keys are smaller than others. when using dvorak it doen't really match up right.

yeah, it annoys me that the apostrophe is so narrow. I use them more than things like z and x and q and j and *they're* not tiny ¬_¬

this is the second time that picard has begun refusing to save any tags

is there any way to see why?

I click save on a song, and it does nothing

devicenull: usually it will render an error message in the statusbar at tho bottom of the picard window.

(for example if the files are read only)

apparently I scared it by asking in irc, since it just started working

but there are also ways you can get picard to log in more detail what's going on. i don't remember how to do that though.

in the 1.0 api the maximum count for the tag was 100, like a percentage, with the 2.0 api the counts seem to be the actual number, and go into the millions at times

so need to change the count value to be a percentage of the highest count found for each tag i think

since 1.0 seems to be old and superceded

the tags all seem the same for the most part, just the count values have changed

the sample responce shows counts under 100, but if you click the example the counts are way higher

looks like the example was made with the 1.0 api version

or there is a way to convert them, but using same url structure as example, just adding &raw=true to the end

to remove the <lfm status="ok"> part

hrm i don't like these new counts, i think its going to give all sorts of false results

eg, for cher-believe rock and electronic have far higher counts than pop, but they are way down the list

so am going to try import the tags in the order retrieved and ignore the count?

i had an album... i am a boy now (extended) which included several bonus tracks from other singles and EPs etc... when i tried to add this to picard it put all the bonus tracks in their actual EP and single releases instead of an "extended" album... i dont think there is an extended release on the MB site... how do i add it through picard?

Known problems are the select box sucks, and you can't click "edit" if a join phrase is blank - but other than that, I think it's working
