Personally, I wouldn't say a combined artist is justified for that sort of collaboration.

Both are credited under their separate names, which to me gives it the sense of collaboration, as opposed to "group"

In my opinion, the remixer is an artist as well and should be listed as such

reosarevok, it's not clear in this case what the release says. :P But in general, I think if we're going to allow releases to show the remixer as the artist, then recording should show similarly, and have a link to the original recording.

use the search query to get the ID

yeah, was gonna say, just do two queries: one to get the ID, one to get the info

you can't get the track list directly from the name, because there might be multiple releases with the same name, but different track lists.
