What is the policy on adding last.fm links to MusicBrainz?

last.fm have/had a policy to use MusicBrainz as the official source of artist naming

enjayhch: policy tends to be "don't, unless the artist specifically uses the page for social networking purposes"

(mostly for the annoying artist disambiguation issues)

If they make progress on that (which they claim they're currently working on) I guess it could change :)

how do you know if it is the 'social networking' page for the artist? Do they have a way of stealing the scrobbles from other artists with the same name?
