Is there a consensus on barcodes that are not printed on the actual release, but are known to be assigned to the product? Should they be added?

http://musicbrainz.org/doc/Barcode actually suggests guessing barcodes (which I find rather questionable by the way), so in the spirit of that page it should probably be added
      • 2012-01-24 02441, 2012

      • kovacsur
on the other hand, it may actually make it more difficult for someone to ID the release in their hands
      • 2012-01-24 02403, 2012

      • warp
kovacsur: I expect there are a fair amount of releases where the barcode is on some outer packaging (sleeve, shrink-wrap) which is thrown away by many consumers.
