when I make a band, I'm going to make the artist name match the regex that musicbrainz uses for uuids to confuse anyone who pastes it into a 'relate to...' box.

I can’t remember where I got the track lengths… and the last track is just the one that I don’t have, so I am not sure if there is an hidden track… ESTER has one release that has 6 track+video with complete duration, so maybe that helps in figuring it out

I doubt they had multiple versions though

hmm… ESTER actually has 2 different ones with different durations, 22:58 or 23:24… and discogs release duration is 20:53

reosarevok: it should allow the legal and performance name artists to be merged, and aliases used to denote name variations, no?

Not when releases are credited to the performance name, while relationships (say, composing) are credited to the legal name

the release can use an AC; you only need the legal name artist

so we put a disambiguation comment that mentions the common performance name, and searching already uses aliases

"Sure, see, it's there as Shawn Cart..." "you're stupid"

(also, if people want to standardise JAY-Z and JayZ and Jay-Z, they get Shawn Carter?

yeah, I mean, tagging is always stupid with standardized anything :P

we also can't tag standardized collaboration names

And also thinks it's silly to have extra artists for the ones with two performance names but not for the ones with one
