if you have multiple copies of the same album like me, you can edit the track metadata beforehand so that you don't have to edit file metadata multiple times :)
SultS: I think there's a case-sensitivity, could you report a ticket?

v6lur: "Occurrences: picard/ui/metadatabox.py:90" doesn't help much. Also, unless we're using gettext's context feature, it's bound to end up as the other somewhere.

2012-06-02 15446, 2012
v6lur
yes, a noun
2012-06-02 15436, 2012
v6lur
that's the new metadata viewer, there are three columns, and their headers are "Tag", "Original Value", "New Value"
2012-06-02 15451, 2012

bitmap: actually that might have been an error on my part (and unrelated to the case-sensitive thing)

v6lur: Right. "Tag"'s a bothersome word though. It can both be a noun and a verb - and as a verb, it can both "to tag" and the command/root "tag".
2012-06-02 15439, 2012
v6lur
yea, english has a lot of such words :/
2012-06-02 15422, 2012

verbificate?
2012-06-02 15418, 2012

verbify or verbalize, but using "verb" as a verb maintains the proper level of irony
2012-06-02 15435, 2012
ianmcorvidae
quick, to the verbinator!
2012-06-02 15456, 2012

time to verbliterate some language!
2012-06-02 15407, 2012
ianmcorvidae is just amused at using 'verb' with random endings now
That should be changed right? Since I do see someone has changed this when viewing the edit history.

v6lur: Like, not have a translation for a giving string. Currently, if you select a textfielf, enten something in it, and delete it again, it seems as if Transifex will store that translation anyway. And it's very rare that the string "" is a good translation for anything...
2012-06-02 15442, 2012

They might have edited another of the 5 versions
2012-06-02 15443, 2012

2012-06-02 15402, 2012

2012-06-02 15425, 2012

1I mean, you could use the "copy source string to destination" button
2012-06-02 15430, 2012

v6lur: As I said to being with, Transifex *needs* a way to clear translations. I didn't say it was a bug that it didn't have one (and as such, implying that it was meant to be able to do that, but having a bug making it not work).
2012-06-02 15457, 2012

anyway, you could mark it as "reviewed" -- that way you'd at least find it later, even if it's completely opposite of the intended use of the "reviewed" checkbox :P

brewster, in case you see this somehow, w/r/t the LMA, often you guys have recording lineage info in the plaintext. There's no dedicated field for it at MB, but that'd be awsome to have in annotations.

speaking of translations, my text strings list isn't 100% yet, since the script isn't totally done, but if anyone is interested in translating a small amount, I'm welcoming any submissions :)

any chance you could just replace the existing per-release cover art editor with that?
2012-06-02 15441, 2012

That's ok; it works the same on the artist page (RG view), the artist releases page, the label page, and the page for a single RG
2012-06-02 15456, 2012
kepstin wants it on http://musicbrainz.org/release/mbid/cover-art :)

kepstin, I'm leaving the CAA editing tab for a single release alone for the moment; it'd be theoretically easy to add this support to that tab as well, but first I want to get it 100% on those other 4 places first.
