hey guys. when there's no front cover and only a medium image, wouldn't it be nice if that appeared as the front cover? I mean, a bit like discogs, I guess

the first image shows up on the release page

I guess you can mark something as medium and front cover if the release really doesn't have anything else as a front cover.

yes, I did that in one case. but I'm voting on some edits that enter the medium pic and then I go to the release page and see no pic at all. I searched and in some cases that's all we have. shoul I edit the image and add the "front" type?

if the release doesn't otherwise have a front cover, yes, mark the medium as front as well.

but if the release does have an actual front cover, it's just that we do not have a scan of it, then obviously no.

i think that it should instead always use the first in the order if no front is present

I don't disagree that a medium can be front, but I just think it's a bit counterintuitive, and that many people won't know to set both front and medium

go with "front" fallback to "medium" (or whatever) if that checkbox is checked

CatCat: more or less. the browser will still upload them one at a time, but you can select multiple images before you submit the edit.
