Hi flamingspinash, wave dash is correct mapping in Unicode,s CJK punctuation plane for JIS namidash, it is literal translation and it is in the right pane to be used vertically or horizontally...

The bad mapping to full width tilde was made mistook because of a wrong example picture provided by first Unicode documentation s, showing a namidash with waves inverted, looking like a tilde :/

The mistake was followed by Microsoft in its fonts and mapping but has been corrected in recent windows versions ( I can't swear as I only have old windows).

The wrong ones like VA as X, sure, those are an issue, but havign 5 or 6 different Various Artists ACs that are all the same sounds like something that just looks a bit ugly :/
