I have ABP, HTTPS everywhere, cookie blockers and a ton of other crap

I am not sure if ABP works against Chrome internal things and ABP is "evil" in that it does allow some things if enough money is paid. That is a different story though.

i will test the new discid.dll on my laptop drive, too. :)

the changes are in https://github.com/metabrainz/libdiscid/pull/45, just in case you might see anything wrong in the changes

JonnyJD: looks like my laptop drive has even bigger problems. same errors as my plextor, but the ISRCs returned from subchannel are all garbage

so I kind of have the only drives that actually work :-P

STalKer-X: there are two other isrc tools you could test on your (bad) drive: mediatools and isrcscan

isrcscan does work fine on my plextor. can't test on laptop because that is 32bit

well, what both tools do when raw isrcs are working: such weird ISRCs fail the CRC check and are discared. The next one is checkec

USAT = H290

for libdiscid raw isrcs seem to fail, uses non-raw, mediatools only does raw isrcs
