Any French speakers about? http://musicbrainz.org/release/9faa156e-eadb-49... track 7, I feel like the parenthesized portion should be (Éveils infâmes) rather than (éveils infâmes). Thoughts?

hi folks, Popular a decade ago (in the UK at least) were CD singles that had 2 releases, with different tracks, remixes, etc. Is there official style guidelines for entering release titles for these. Obviously in teh same single release group should have say (CD1) and (Cd2) on them. Or nothing at all if nothing is on teh cover.
      • I have seen different ways of doing this thus looking for guidelines.
      • ZaphodBeeblebrox
Rovastar: I remember that. but as far as guide for it.. uhh th only one I can think of to know is nikki. it might work if you pm her?
      • she ight be busy thoguh
      • warp
Rovastar: this has been discussed various times in the past on the style mailinglist. I think it's OK to put them in the same release group, and probably in most cases the CD1 or CD2 should be in the disambiguation comment field, not the release title.

        Tre0n: welcome
      • Tre0n
1, when a song has X feat. Y, and Y is a member of a band that's already in MusicBrainz, do I credit the band or make a new page for the individual?
      • derwin
        feat is a little complicated
      • Tre0n
        Yeah I gather
      • derwin
but in general you would probably add the artist as an individual
      • babel42
        derwin okay
      • derwin
sampsyo: do you have beets gsoc
      • Tre0n
        righto
      • I'm editing an album with many featured artists that don't exist in MB yet
      • Is there some easy way to add them all?
      • I'd think MB would auto-generate or something, but I can't put in the edit without crediting something in the MB database
      • am I in for creating 5+ new artist pages here?

      • ariscop
when you're selecting an artist, there's an option at the bottom of the popup for creating an artist
      • Tre0n
I didn't see that, one sec
      • ariscop
        might have to scroll
      • check some of the existing artists first though, if you select one the preview turns into a link to their page
      • Tre0n
        yeah righto
      • what's the case if an album is released in a foreign country, but the song titles are all clearly in english with no trace of any other language?
      • do we apply english style guidelines?

      • I've an error message on your website
      • Attribute (position) does not pass the type constraint because: Validation failed for 'Int' with value undef at constructor MusicBrainz::Server::Entity::Track::new (defined at lib/MusicBrainz/Server/Entity/Track.pm line 62) line 101

derwin: The "as_auto_editor" was the tick box previously used for AEs to not use their "powers" on a given (set of) edit(s). However, with yesterday's release, that tick box's been replaced, so userscripts refering this need to be updated.

might be harder to tell if you aren't familliar with japanese scripts. but if you look closely to many times does the same kanji repeat (plus there aren't nearly enough kana - japanese doesn't have that much kanji blocked together)

Arthur_Rainbow: If it happens again, please put the whole error message somewhere online (including the stack trace, request parameters etc.). Without these details, it’s almost impossible to track down a bug.

If you have a browser (or browser extension) that lets you view request data, you could open that and re-submit so that it picks up the request.
