Is this really a character or a stage persona?

It's a childrens educational recording done with a specific voice/character

I think with each character only being on one release

although I'm not sure about that

On http://musicbrainz.org/release/07255b90-5799-47... , on the 4th cd there are two tracks, 2 and 5, that have identical names. However, they are different versions and 5 is previously released while 2 is an unreleased version (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Complete_Bitch... and http://www.discogs.com/Miles-Davis-The-Complete... ).

Shouldn’t this different status be indicated somehow?

Otherwise it is hard to differentiate these tracks when you listen to them..?

hopphopp: the tracklist should reflect the release. The recordings should be disambiguated if they're still the same

That's the same thing, I think. It's quite possible that the beatport entry is wrong. Unfortunately, my vinyl with those tracks are the original vinyl EPs not this set of vinyl LP releases.

So I can't double check.

oh, you can click on the images at discogs… yeah go with discogs. that entry from beatport looks like crap.

alright I'll alter it to the discogs one instead. likly the times are dodgy too

definitely a bad dupe. the catalog number on BP looks like Discogs catalog number, but discogs looks accurate.
