In this particular case, if you we couldn't find any composer or artist credit for the release I would have picked Riot games (the company which employs the composers and developers the game this release is the soundtrack for).

I think we should only merge the reasonably similar stuff (which I also said in the feature ticket).
For what it's worth though, it's not much of a reformulation. The old guideline already said "Specifically, this is where legal names are useful, and you may now create a new artist entry using the artist legal name as a name, then relate all the artist's performance names to this new entry."
