so i noticed, when using the lookup feature, that music brainz will take an album with say.. 2 tracks that feature two seperate other artists and create 3 folder directories, for what is actually one album. is there any way at all to fix this?
i will further my reading online, if i fail to figure it out i will return later.

meh, the minute i stop trying to talk to people and focus on work, you know that xchat's going to go blue with people talking to me >_<
They're not private discussions, anyone was able to attend and summaries of all topics will be in a public google doc

pankkake: and there are probably more people talking here than typically in development discussions
Freso
pankkake: Feel free to raise a discussion somewhere about reverting parts of this. 9 members of the community thinks this is the right path to take. Development decisions has been taken with less people behind it before.

As an example, 0.78% of add relationship edits have been either cancelled or voted down, whereas over 20,000 of the current open edits are add relationship, severely adding to the voting burden.
pankkake
people who don't edit the database are not part of the community
this includes "add label", "add release"
reosarevok
Add label is probably going to become "add relationship" in the middle term
Freso
pankkake: You don't get to say who are and who aren't "part of the community". Sorry.
LordSputnik
pankkake: I think that's a really odd definition of "being in the community"
But there's nothing to say that this decision is final - if we find that the quality of the database is severaly adversely affected, there's nothin preventing reverting the change
It's just what seems like the correct decision at this time
Freso
As I said, feel free to raise discussion on reverting this or parts of it.
LordSputnik
We did expect you to be against the change, and we considered your views when we were making the decision - but there's no way that everyone can be happy all of the time

Ooh, more auto-edits? I can get behind that. Though labels are often enough screwed up that I'm not 100% sure that's a good idea.
