Is there any way to record myself talking, then layer that over a video of my mouse demonstrating things on the screen? I haven't memorized the script, so I have to do one thing at a time. I can't show what to do on the page and read something at the same time, can I?

I read and did at the same time
2017-01-01 00103, 2017

If my screen is on the MusicBrainz website, how can I read the script at the same time?
2017-01-01 00145, 2017
gcilou
print your script ;)
2017-01-01 00148, 2017

The script is a google doc and I have no way of printing it

2017-01-01 00108, 2017

And my camera is built into the laptop, so what would "fumble with the camera" just be me tilting my laptop? *shakes laptop* "Hey youtubers"
2017-01-01 00130, 2017
gcilou
CallerNo6: no, I used a video editor and stacked the music over the video
2017-01-01 00151, 2017
gcilou
jvefforts: and no that wouldn't work either lol. your camera isn't what captures the screen

In a video tutorial, should I use a specific example artist for MusicBrainz, or should I just choose one?
2017-01-01 00142, 2017
gcilou
Um I used "MusicBrainz Test Artist" with all of mine. If you choose an artist for just an example (not a real artist), make sure to denote that in an edit note and after the tutorial is done, delete the entry so we don't have fake artists in the database
2017-01-01 00145, 2017
CallerNo6
jvefforts, I think I'd actually add a new artist and explain as I went along.
2017-01-01 00113, 2017

(but that might be harder to actually do while screencasting, so maybe I'd give up)
