I might give the frozen mammoth a miss though
      • CatQuest
we l call those potatoflakes, "potetgull" (ie potato gold)
      • heh, i think it was a once in a life time experience for a science/palaontologist party
      • MajorLurker
neat name.... I call them ¨heart attack producing fried stuff that tastes too good to not..... ¨ lol
      • CatQuest
the point was that if kept freezing, food will keep indefinatly
      • I do this on a regular basis: by some thing that will expire within days, put it in the freezer and it's good to go for years later
      • MajorLurker
So did it taste ¨woolly¨ ??
      • CatQuest
I'm sure it tasted like like elephant a bit
      • oh wait, is "woolly" a sort of way of saying something tastes NQR?
      • :)
      • MajorLurker
        hmmm whatever that taste is
      • CatQuest
        idk :)
      • MajorLurker
        no ¨woolly¨ as in ¨Woolly Mammoth¨
      • CatQuest
well it's the 20th day of christmas today, so i am trowing it out :D
      • yea I know, i thoguht maybe a pun
      • MajorLurker
        Probably tastes like chicken....
      • CatQuest
yep, that oke i know :)
      • but fried chicken is one of my favouristed things
      • MajorLurker
        Chicken is good...
      • Crocodile I am not so sure about ... although they say it tastes like... hahaha
      • CatQuest
the joke is that it doesn't taste like *anything* so /other/, odd things taste like chicken
      • MajorLurker
        Yes true enough
      • CatQuest
        i think?
      • MajorLurker
I am not a very adventurous eater
      • There are things like kangaroo I have never tried
      • CatQuest
actually chicken might sense for crocodile, it's an archosaur (related to dinosaurs) and the birds evolved from them :o
      • tsk you're aussie and havent tried roo?
      • but vegemite, surly?
      • MajorLurker
        Bit like eating Skippy
      • CatQuest
        aww
      • MajorLurker
        vegemite my favourite spread
      • CatQuest
        yea true :o
      • I wouldn't either for that
      • MajorLurker
Has been since I was about 2
      • so 58 years.... of lovely yeast
      • CatQuest
I actually had a vegemite test send to me all the way from Australia, it tasted... umami af
      • MajorLurker
        ??
      • ha
      • how much did you spread?
      • CatQuest
it was single portion thingy, i spread it as thin as i could?
      • MajorLurker
I think half the trouble is people treat it like jam and have huge amounts
      • CatQuest
still had to put like.. majonese on it, but thin i liekd it :P
      • MajorLurker
        Thin is good
      • Nice added to soups and such
      • CatQuest
oh i can imagine! it tasted similar ot miso
      • in soup itd be heavenly
      • I should send the aussies some of our brunost
      • rubdos joined the channel
      • MajorLurker
I like it on toast / bread / french toast..... all good
      • CatQuest
        it's our "weird" food
      • MajorLurker
        What is that made from?
      • CatQuest
it's a cheese from cow/goat milk, it's brown, and somewhat sweeter since it's been caramelised
      • I've eaten it since I was 2 too, so for 33 years :D
      • MajorLurker
hmmm is it a strong taste?
      • I like different cheeses, but not too strong
      • chirlu joined the channel
      • CatQuest
it depends on it, some are stronger (ekte gjetost), sweeter, (gudbransdal) or milder (mysost)
      • MajorLurker
I tried some ´blue¨ cheese a few years back and it dried the inside of my mouth out hahah
      • CatQuest
        yea, it's whey cheese
      • ugh, not moldy cheese, I'll never eat the blue mould. like brie i'll eat tho
      • I love mozzarella and mascarpone
      • MajorLurker
        brie is good
      • CatQuest
        s/mascarpone/ricotta
      • it tastes like solid milk
      • and milk i adore
      • uhm, but now i must go and eat something becasue i am getting hungry :p
      • MajorLurker
have a favourite cheese at moment called mersey valley or something
      • love milk myself
      • CatQuest
ah, also ,we have the spreadable variant of brunost, callded prim, kids adore it, it's very sweet
      • milk is best
      • ahh that link, now i'm definitly hungry
      • MajorLurker
That is a really nice cheese, and from Tasmania so you know almost Aussie
      • CatQuest
I've saved some christmas dinner in the freezer, so i'll eat that once i'm done with removing christmas completely. this tradition :)
      • :P
      • MajorLurker
So 20 days, here it is mostly 12 days I think.....
      • At least all the decorations and stuff should be down....
      • CatQuest
most people do 13 days here, but me and me mum always did 20 days
      • MajorLurker
Well that is a good tradition then
      • CatQuest nods
      • CatQuest
        nice talking to ya <3
      • CatQuest must really go
      • MajorLurker
        Yea you too :)
      • CatQuest
        \o/
      • MajorLurker

      • CatQuest
        heh, sleep good
      • hibiscuskazeneko
        5:43 AM here
      • I should probably sleep too
      • CatQuest

      • hibiscuskazeneko
        That's PM
      • CatQuest
well I never understood that pm/am business.
      • I'm off \o
      • MajorLurker
hibiscuskazeneko, if you haven´t been asleep that is probably a good idea
      • hibiscuskazeneko
My sleep schedule is out of whack
      • Gore|woerk has quit
      • MajorLurker
        CatQuest, 2245 for you then
      • hibiscuskazeneko, clearly
      • hibiscuskazeneko
It's what happens when I'm finally able to catch up on lost sleep and end up sleeping longer and longer stretches
      • MajorLurker
The pyscholgist says go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time... better for your mental health apparently
      • hibiscuskazeneko
I thought that was an old saying
      • Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise
      • MajorLurker
The old early to bed, early to rise...
      • Yea but she didn´t say get up early..... just the same time everytime.
      • Will go to bed now (or soon) and get up at around 7 - 7.30/
      • hibiscuskazeneko
        g'night
      • MajorLurker
IF I do that regularly I feel better.

        A "78" is a 12" record, right?
      • JuJUBee
        no, typically a 10"
      • rubdos joined the channel
      • 33 was 12 and 45 is 7
      • hibiscuskazeneko
        I have seen 12" 45 RPM discs and 33 1/3 RPM 7" discs
      • Freso
Worldcat lists this specific one as 8".
      • hibiscuskazeneko
A lot of old 78 RPM records were non-standard sizes, weren't they?
      • Freso
Maybe that means that this is a 7" and the packaging is 8" something?
      • I can't add another medium when the current medium has an empty tracklist.
      • hibiscuskazeneko
        How old is this record?
      • gcilou joined the channel
      • If it's old enough to be 78 RPM, it's likely to be an unusual size
      • Freso
        hibiscuskazeneko: 196?
      • SothoTalKer
        hello friends
      • hibiscuskazeneko
        hello SothoTalker
      • Freso: If you're unsure what size it is, I'd use Vinyl as the medium format and a tag or annotation explaining its size.
      • Freso
