Is there a way of changing the attributes (e.g. instrument) on multiple tracks at once. It´s a pain when you make a mistake and have to fix 40 of them!

I'm a bit rusty. I've got a re-release of an album, with exactly the same disc ids as the previous, and only a different backcover for an additional release date and a different barcode. This means i'd have to add a new release, basically recreating the previous completely. Is there a way I can just make a copy instead?

Forage: Yes, you need to add a new release, but you can reuse the tracklist and the release group from the previous one.

Basically, you go to the release group page and click on “Add a release” under “Editing” section on the right side.

Reusing tracklist will be proposed in the “Release Duplicates” tab of the release editor.

What is the recommended way to add proof nowadays. A photo of the back cover (i.e. not a perfect scan to be considered good cover art) Is something like http://tinypic.com/ considered good enough?

it is the image that is important not loation.. i mran usually I use imgur, but tinypic seems fine?

though we do hope you'd like to at some point upload all cover art to the coverartarchive

I'd much rather have a phone pic of a tracklist or performer list than nothing

I think I have mixed two releases because their track list and catalog numbers are equal. Could someone take a look at my edit please (https://musicbrainz.org/edit/44559938) and give some advice? I think there probably should be a new release with the different album cover but same tracks and catalog ids?

hmm, afraid I don't recall that.

but anyways, with even an "ok" phone camera, as long as you can get fairly even light with no glare, you can take pretty decent pictures of album art.
