Rainy and cold are my favorite. Mostly, though, I want to explore some of the music if I can.

Picard experts, I had to reload my computer. Have re-installed picard (latest) but it is not showing the "Add cluster as a release" on a right click. It is showing it as installed though, any thoughs?
They're all self-releases, so it makes sense to me that it'd be the label, since it's the guy's company. Just like to make sure.
Thanks, Caller.

Too bad there aren't generic "entities".

hibiscuskazenothere: no idea

Oh, I shouldn't have said "the only way", since there's an artist-release "copyright" too.
but if I had to choose, that seems more like a label than like a person.
CatQuest
I think we need a new entitiy "company" OR that "label" could have type "company"
I've come across a probme lie kthis too myself
Leftmost
Yeah. It makes the most sense to me to have it under the same umbrella as major labels, since it strikes me as a "release label", as nebulous as that concept is.
is that close enough to make them two releases of a release group?
SothoTalker_
i say yes

I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to reprint it but no longer had rights to one of the tracks or something, yeah.
CallerNo6
There can be regional differences in licensing too.
RavenWorks
yeah I'm wondering what happened, maybe there was a sample that turned out to be something offensive in another language...
rdswift
Release groups often have slight differences in tracks, so I think this is a perfect case for merging the release groups.
CallerNo6
With compilations, it's a fair question, since there might be unrelated comps called "best of <foo>" with mostly the same tracks.
kepstin
https://musicbrainz.org/release-group/8dec8546-... is an interesting case of the sample clearance issue - one of the tracks on the original release was replaced, and the album re-released (confusingly, with the same catalogue number)
RavenWorks
oh yeesh!
ok, here's an unrelated question:
so there's a kinda weirdly-titled album series that goes like "Moz-Art presents Mysterious Traveller: Afroart"
albertus1 has quit
I had entered that as "Moz-Art (artist) presents (linking) Mysterious Traveller (artist)" for the artist (Moz-Art and Mysterious Traveller are both artists) and "Afroart" for the album title
but somebody else has entered another one as "Moz-Art" as the artist and "Mysterious Traveler:Brazilart" as the album name
anyway I mean I guess I'll just go for it and let the votes decide :P that's what the voting system's there for...
ok, another question: if an artist is credited as something, will that make them turn up in a search for the thing they're credited as automatically, or should I also make an alias for it on their artist page?
JoeLlama joined the channel
like, if something already appears in the 'artist credits' section of their aliases page, should it be manually added to the 'aliases' list too or is that enough
