reosarevok: if a live performance was recorded for a CD album (april 7,8,9 2017), how would you mark this ? can't really use a range unless you put the relationship at the release level (instead of recordings)

I'd just use a range myself on the recording level

      • reosarevok
        Why is it that bad?

      • 2017-11-17 32126, 2017

      • SothoTalker_
All I wanted to say is that many programs interpet the ID3 standards differently
      • 2017-11-17 32105, 2017

      • SothoTalker_
"While there are legacy and future standards for ID3 tags, the most popular version implemented today is ID3 version 2.3. A follow on version, 2.4, is documented on this website but has not achieved popular status due to some disagreements on some of the revisions and the tremendous inertia present in the software and hardware marketplace."

on a tangent, interestingly, the ietf is looking at adopting matroska as a standard, over the much more common ogg container
