it's been a long time since I filed tickets and I've seen a lot of later URLs go through but not any of mine

Right. It just needs someone to write the code. There's no whitelist for "purchase for download" URLs.

The reason "other db" URLs usually get acted on pretty fast, is that they need code to actually be usable on the site.

(Ie., they need to be whitelisted in the JavaScript, or they will get rejected when someone tries to add such an URL.)

most of our Japanese editors aren't from Japan so there's probably a good reason people don't bother with Mora or Recochoku

yindesu: Most "(hard)core" MusicBrainz editors are not really fond of the "cover" attribute, since it's so hard (ie., pretty much impossible, as far as we know) to define when something is and isn't a cover.
