It doesn't help that I checked it out from a library and they appear to have just included photocopies of the front and back of the case, and not any liner notes.
Leftmost: but why multiple languages and multiple scripts?
2013-04-02 09219, 2013

nikki, there's a fair amount of Chinese written on the case as well.

abelcheung (if you're still around), going back to your "multiple numbers" question, I think you got it right. "Foo no. 2, op. 3. no. 1" makes sense to me.

From what I've been able to find, he composed all of them, but I can't find any official sources. I may ask the library if they've retained the packaging.

According to so accompanied chinese text, he composed 5 of them

Where did you find that? And does it say anything about the other composers?
2013-04-02 09201, 2013

nothing about other composers so far, though did mention some are from traditional songs
This album should probably use CSG, so any information you can find would be great.

performer composed 1-4, 6-8, 10, 12-14, 16-19 himself

I disagree about the CSG part though, since most are not classical music, though a few traditional chinese songs are performed

Hmm. What leads me to think it should be treated as classical is highlighting Wei Li as a soloist. That and the structure of superworks with individual parts sort of gives it the feel of a classical album.
2013-04-02 09246, 2013
Leftmost
Especially since Snowy River has adagio, allegro, etc.
2013-04-02 09211, 2013

well, about the structure.... i'll go ahead checking the compositions
2013-04-02 09202, 2013

I also wonder if it would be appropriate to include the Chinese names as part of the tracklist, since they are given inline rather than separately. Not really sure what to do with that one.
2013-04-02 09204, 2013
Leftmost
It just seems to me like there are a number of albums of traditional Chinese music mixed with contemporary compositions which are to be treated as though they were classical.
2013-04-02 09232, 2013
Leftmost
Google Translate suggests it should be treated as classical as well.
2013-04-02 09209, 2013

well, if your point is about the usage of movements as structure, then wouldn't deny that's classical music alike

About foreign language text......... isn't the usual way of handling it as pseudo-release?
2013-04-02 09222, 2013
Leftmost
It's sort of case-by-case for me.
2013-04-02 09226, 2013

if thinking like classical music, it's frequent to observe english-french-german texts together in back covers
2013-04-02 09235, 2013
Leftmost
When it's inline, I tend to include it as part of the track title. if it's separate, pseudo-release seems better.
I need to check that out again and create a pseudo-release for the Chinese.

Leftmost: well the basic idea is just to copy release text as is complete without elaborating too much wondering, and not trying to put same title on each release if they are different
2013-04-02 09228, 2013
Leftmost
I'm well aware of the principle of copying the release text, and much prefer to do so, but in this case it's inconsistent, and so it required more consideration. As I've stated.
2013-04-02 09252, 2013
jesus2099
well… inconsisten between releases is not a problem as each release gets its name… inconsistent between cover and spine, is usually take the longest form, the most complete, be it aggregate of all in this case… anyway for th RG name, it seems more natural at first thought to take the original release title (1.OUTSIDE BLABLA blabla). I would not cut THE RISE AND FALL OF ZIGGY STARDUST AND THE SPIDERS FROM MARS just because
2013-04-02 09224, 2013
jesus2099
some spines only state ZIGGY STARDUST if i remember correctly
2013-04-02 09235, 2013

It's inconsistent on the release, and the cover and spine include different information.
There's no 1. on the spine and no Nathan Adler on the cover. As I've also stated.

2013-04-02 09216, 2013

To an extent, perhaps, which is part of of why I've conceded that point in the discussion. I disagree that the cover art supports its use as such, largely because the front cover doesn't include it and I personally find the spine to be an untrustworthy source of titles, but consensus seems to favor it and it makes a certain degree of sense, so I'm not arguing that point any further.
and…an instrumental recording of the song…is it a recording of both works?
