kepstin-work does some strange things with the albumsort tag.

2013-05-27 14702, 2013
flamingspinach
I knew you were in both places
2013-05-27 14711, 2013
flamingspinach

2013-05-27 14730, 2013
Kovensky

2013-05-27 14741, 2013

sygnous
how big a mirror?
2013-05-27 14734, 2013
kepstin-work
LordSputnik: is Warp basically just bits and pieces of Picard ripped out into a standalone app?
2013-05-27 14735, 2013
sygnous
err, sorry... how big is a mirror?
2013-05-27 14756, 2013
reosarevok
meh, I guess you'll need to expand the VM
2013-05-27 14704, 2013
reosarevok wonders if we had a guide for that bit
2013-05-27 14705, 2013
CallerNo6 joined the channel
2013-05-27 14706, 2013
reosarevok
nikki? :p
2013-05-27 14729, 2013
nikki
all I know is that you need a bunch of space because it's daft and extracts the dumps before importing them :P
2013-05-27 14735, 2013
kepstin-work
sygnous: I think the imported database is about 10gb or so, and you'll want to have at least double that amount of space available to handle the import.
2013-05-27 14735, 2013
nikki
moin CallerNo6
2013-05-27 14736, 2013
sygnous
it's got a 15GB filesystem, which has 5GB free, not sure why it crashed
2013-05-27 14758, 2013
CallerNo6 waves hello
2013-05-27 14705, 2013
nikki
the db is about 15gb (without the edit table), you'll need about twice that to import it, I guess
2013-05-27 14710, 2013
reosarevok

2013-05-27 14713, 2013
reosarevok
A Caller!
2013-05-27 14717, 2013
reosarevok
hi CallerNo6 :)
2013-05-27 14724, 2013
CallerNo6 starts to blush
2013-05-27 14719, 2013
CallerNo6
hey, has freso been in/around at all lately? I haven't seen him, but sometimes time zones work that way.
2013-05-27 14757, 2013
reosarevok
Not really :/
2013-05-27 14701, 2013
CallerNo6
(las time I needed to find him, I had to stoop to using stupid facebook)
2013-05-27 14712, 2013
reosarevok
Not that I've seen at least, although my schedule has been crazy too
2013-05-27 14741, 2013
CallerNo6
exams and schema changes?
2013-05-27 14754, 2013
reosarevok
kinda
2013-05-27 14757, 2013
sygnous
I need more SSD's :(
2013-05-27 14704, 2013
kyomi
Does that mean the voices in my head have left?
2013-05-27 14729, 2013
reosarevok
no, just one
2013-05-27 14738, 2013
CallerNo6
hrm. should I have heard of these guys/gals/others before now? http://ckan.org/
using that method says everything is up to date, lol
2013-05-27 14755, 2013
reosarevok
what, carton install?
2013-05-27 14758, 2013
reosarevok
Well, maybe it is?
2013-05-27 14701, 2013
sygnous
cpanm
2013-05-27 14703, 2013
reosarevok
Oh
2013-05-27 14710, 2013
reosarevok shrugs
2013-05-27 14745, 2013
reosarevok
unsure how all that works :/
2013-05-27 14731, 2013
reosarevok
(when I've done upgrades I used carton install, but that was before carton started apparently being even worse than before)
2013-05-27 14757, 2013
sygnous
it's like RPM hell :P
2013-05-27 14712, 2013
sygnous
I mean the modules are there, just not seeing them :(
2013-05-27 14711, 2013
warp
reosarevok: I just saw 593 on a t-shirt in http://youtu.be/91L3pO8X9aE and only now realize what the number is referring to in that "Barrio 593" I showed you earlier.
2013-05-27 14718, 2013
kyomi
*gasp*... can I really finally be done with correcting my Industrial music? Only took me like a month -_-
2013-05-27 14719, 2013
kyomi
At least on the upside... everything should play streaming and have cover art if it had cover art :)
2013-05-27 14730, 2013
sygnous
running a cpan -u now... and gonna reboot.. maybe that will refresh some stuff /shrug
2013-05-27 14737, 2013
reosarevok
warp: a postcode?
2013-05-27 14700, 2013
kyomi
sygnous: "have you tried turning it off and on again?"
2013-05-27 14707, 2013
sygnous
exactly
2013-05-27 14716, 2013
kyomi
It's mostly a joke... but the funny thing is.. it works like 90% of the time
2013-05-27 14717, 2013
reosarevok
oh, the country's phone code?
2013-05-27 14727, 2013
sygnous
just a straight 12.04.2 ubuntu box here... nothing fancy
2013-05-27 14754, 2013
warp
reosarevok: yes, the telephone code for the country.
2013-05-27 14728, 2013
kyomi
I don't really know why.. but I hate that name of that distro
2013-05-27 14736, 2013
kyomi
It just really annoys me
2013-05-27 14751, 2013
sygnous
it's pretty solid for everything I've thrown at it
2013-05-27 14703, 2013
sygnous
used to be hardcore rhel, but
2013-05-27 14725, 2013
sygnous
just feels more organic to me... rhel feels cold
2013-05-27 14743, 2013
kyomi
but rhel sounds cooler :)
2013-05-27 14711, 2013
sygnous
dunno what the deal is here, but cpan -u is having issues as well :(
2013-05-27 14705, 2013
reosarevok
warp, can you try to help sygnous?
2013-05-27 14738, 2013
sygnous
I get it ;)
2013-05-27 14716, 2013
sygnous
just install all the modules with cpan instead
2013-05-27 14702, 2013
kyomi
Everytime I see "cpan" I try to correct it to "cspan" >.>
2013-05-27 14725, 2013
flamingspinach
What do I do with a track on a various artists release that has no artist listed in the tracklist?
2013-05-27 14746, 2013
reosarevok
cry?
2013-05-27 14756, 2013
reosarevok
And then use [unknown] I guess
2013-05-27 14752, 2013
flamingspinach
I'm *pretty* sure it's a chorus of all the other artists on the album
2013-05-27 14754, 2013
flamingspinach
but can't be sure
2013-05-27 14713, 2013
flamingspinach
and I'm already crying just because of the state this release is currently in on mbz ;_;
all that's tying it to this mortal realm is a subscription by one user and a recording credited to it
2013-05-27 14718, 2013
flamingspinach
the recording is part of a release that is being merged into another release, and so the recording will be merged into another recording, which is credited to a different artist
2013-05-27 14726, 2013
flamingspinach
is the one subscriber enough to keep the artist from being deleted?
2013-05-27 14729, 2013
reosarevok
No
2013-05-27 14734, 2013
reosarevok
That should remove it
2013-05-27 14734, 2013
flamingspinach
ok good
2013-05-27 14748, 2013
reosarevok
(and the subscriber will be mailed saying it was deleted)
2013-05-27 14753, 2013
flamingspinach
ok great
2013-05-27 14721, 2013
Kovensky
specially since it shouldn't have been made to begin with :>
2013-05-27 14736, 2013
Kovensky
(it's an aggregation of 3 artists)
2013-05-27 14725, 2013
Kovensky
this japanese thing reminds me of the chaos that is doujin music information <_<
2013-05-27 14756, 2013
Kovensky
I should write a wall of text ranting about with an RFC
2013-05-27 14736, 2013
Kovensky
we probably should put together some style guide for doujin music, since it doesn't follow any of the usual record label practices, from artist atribution to compilation categorization
