right... Okay. I'll cancel that what I've done until now and get on with the reading. Thanks reosarevok.

Ensembles with vocalists?
2012-01-15 01519, 2012

Something like that. I think the idea is that the performers on stage will segue into some aria or another, accompanied by an ensemble of players befitting the scene. From string 4tet to jazz band (!)

I'm not sure why you were only getting artist credits for the first disc
2012-01-15 01516, 2012
nikki
the xml linked from the details tab of a release gives artist credits for all of them for me
2012-01-15 01555, 2012
rswarbrick
Yeah, it looks like it's a bug my end. Just been staring at the xml, which contains it. D'oh
it's a long-running survey that asks german speakers what they would say for various things (lots of vocabulary questions, some grammar/pronunciation questions) and then afterwards makes a map where you can see the results. the results of the 8th round are in and the 9th round just started, but I think the link's already been shared with the german speakers in here
nikki: About the XML thing, what was happening was that the second disc was the first time tracks had the same artist credits as their recordings. And the web service doesn't send the data in that case. Thanks for the reply!
2012-01-15 01521, 2012
nikki
no, I'm just interested in the results :)

nikki
(but yes to dot)
2012-01-15 01502, 2012

I ask because in Spain we call it "punto y coma" (literally "dot and comma") and : is "dos puntos" ("two dots")
2012-01-15 01515, 2012
reosarevok always found "colon" and "semicolon" kinda silly and fairly... intestinal
2012-01-15 01518, 2012

I just find it hilarious that there's a horizontal line through the middle of germany like that. most of the maps are nowhere near as neat

nikki: is there one for apfelsin vs what was it yet?
ehrgeiz: maybe in some parts of Bavaria people say it, not 100% sure :) at least from where I am from, I never heard it

I also like http://www.philhist.uni-augsburg.de/lehrstuehle/g… - in the very north between the blue (pfannkuchen) and the magenta (eierkuchen), there's a couple of people who either got confused or decided to compromise by saying eierpfannkuchen

I mean, there never has been any formal decision which to include/exclude in the first place...

2012-01-15 01535, 2012

I don't know if it really need an RFC for it, because the list of languages/scripts to exclude wasn't part of any style decision in the first place (at least I haven't found any)
2012-01-15 01504, 2012
reosarevok

2012-01-15 01528, 2012

what does the style leader say :-)?
2012-01-15 01500, 2012

2012-01-15 01549, 2012

2012-01-15 01535, 2012

probably...
2012-01-15 01520, 2012

but I always felt they were not strictly "forbidden", but that we just don't display them because they are so obscure that they are never needed
2012-01-15 01534, 2012
hrglgrmpf
so just a display issue, not a "we don't allow that"
2012-01-15 01541, 2012
ianmcorvidae
that was my understanding as well, yeah
2012-01-15 01548, 2012

otherwise why have them in the database at all :P
2012-01-15 01522, 2012

multiple scripts (Qaaa) was different, because it wasn't in the database in the first place, but was a new addition, so an RFC made sense
