hmm. signwriting isn't in unicode, and requires special support to display symbols in the spacially correct place, so musicbrainz couldn't easily support it :/

it needs vertical text, so that rules out everything except IE, doesn't it?

I would probably say the latter right now, but I guess I wouldn't really know unless I played with it

(the former being much easier, of course, but the latter provides more flexibility... the question is if the scales will match up nicely)

Even if it parses on every keystroke, split("-") is *not* that heavy-duty.

copy/pasting field by field from a text tracklisting is less frustrating.

you know what someone should make? a userscript that adds an optionally viewable parser box to the advanced editor, then fills in the fields from it when you hit parse :)

I wonder if you can read from the clipboard in javascript nowadays - if so, it could just be a single button "parse from clipboard"
