hello. i am new to music brainz i added a album because it was not in the database. I added the album on the website directly. now i don't know how i can add audio fingerprints.

You need to submit them from picard.

and how can i do this. i can't find the documentation.

ie. open the files in picard, press scan, drag them from wherever they end up to your release (in picard), then the "submit puids" button will light.

You need to create Fingerprints with MusicIP's genpuid or MusicIP Mixer

Correct, MB only stores the link between an MBID and a PUID

i added a new album to musicbrainz is it recommanded that i create this puids?

now i have an other question i try to add an artist and there i need to specify a sort name what is meant with sort name? my english isn't that good.

the_p: Well, it's not obligatory. It helps other people when identifying their own files, but PUIDs are by no means necessary, and the artist/album information you provide is definitely the important part.

the_p: It's a name used to sort the artist. Typically "John Doe" has a sort name "Doe, John" since people tend to get sorted by their last name first.

what should i choose as language when i add a new release and the language of the release is not in the list?

expand the list to full languages

i have another question what is with my edit if they get now vote and how likely is it that edits get now votes?

"No" votes usually come with a comment that explains the problem.

Usually at least the active editors don't vote No if the problem is only with simple things such as capitalization or something like that. Typical reason for No votes is that the same release already exists in the database.

Or the edit contains no proof it's actually a legit one
