T.Rex is a performance name for Marc Bolan. Marc Bolan composes several tracks. T.Rex plays them, later, for a soundtrack. Soundtrack style would normally go with composer, unless it's a previously released track, as these are. But when the composer and the performer are two names for the same person, would that still hold true?

Hi! I'm a little confused about this Picard proggie - does it or does it not calculate puid's?
      • 2007-07-18 19953, 2007

      • Kerensky97
It calculates a fingerprint to match to the MusicIP PUIDs to be most accurate.
      • 2007-07-18 19906, 2007

      • naugas
Ok, thanks! What is it it sends to musicbrainz then? Nearest match to an existing puid?
      • 2007-07-18 19956, 2007

no, those are used for PUID lookups
      • 2007-07-18 19947, 2007

      • luks
PUID on it's own doesn't tell you anything about the track
      • 2007-07-18 19945, 2007

      • Kerensky97
If the Picard fingerprint matches a MusicIP PUID and you choose "save PUIDs" it will send the info to Musicbrainz that that MusicIP PUID belongs to that track.
