what if I actually enjoy the music more because it sounds better without me recognizing a difference?

I think right now I've got everything in mp3 v2 ish

or really, MP3 192 or V2 I can hear a slight difference, 256 or V0 I can feel a difference in bass, but 320 or ogg-q8, nothing I can tell

FauxFaux: I don't know... maybe it's the flacs I've been using, but any flac I've converted to ogg-q8, I get at least 50% reduction

I'm glad I have a stereo amplifier manufactured in the 1970's and two speakers manufactured in the early 1980's - it's impossible to hear much difference between various audio formats

So usually 192-256kbps mp3's are more than enough ;)

I have a track with SATB leads, a background choir, plus a foreground choir

well, example: "Lämna inga dörrar på glänt" - "Helen Sjöholm" is lead soprano, but "Sandra Caménisch" is in both the general choir (background), and the "Lämna inga dörrar på glänt foreground choir", depending on which choir is singing at any point in the song

I would just say she performs vocals then

additional soprano, and don't worry about trying to segment the 2 choirs?
