where is this foxy reference everyone is up-in-arms about? if it's any one numerous songs in the '70s (or a cover of one of those songs) with that word in the title it's "Foxy" not "Foxey"

foxy was an urban (black folks) slang term for "pretty+sexy" in the 1970s

weird situation..intended title is "foxy", but was misspelled on are you experienced as "foxey" and the error was compounded by being registered as "foxey"

According to wikipedia "foxey" was a misspelling on the american release

So when it comes to intended title I would vote for "foxy lady"

it's definitely "foxy"... sorry wiki-pundits. i was there :P

i went to prince's very first concert *ever* (outside of minneapolis). it wasn't very good.

Ok, I'm obviously too tired to joke about this. And if you say that Prince can't sing I can only respond that his 'trying to sing' sounds OK to my ears. But then I wouldn't know who you are comparing him with.

when prince's first album was released "For You" in 1978 his competition was marvin gaye, luther vandross, barry white, michael jackson, peabo bryson, earth wind & fire, smokey robinson, the commodores and many others. all of them are *much better* singers

and of course stevie wonder. what stood out about prince wasn't his voice (or even the lyrics back then) it was arrangements and instrumentation

prince's first single was "soft & wet" which i bought on 45 rpm. the lyrics were *really* explicit, and that was what stood out, aside from the very funky arrangent
