I've often had issues when I did that

DBD::Pg::st execute failed: ERROR: insert or update on table "album_amazon_asin" violates foreign key constraint "album_amazon_asin_fk_album"

Ended up setting it to RT_SLAVE first then importing the DB as it doesn't create FLs and stuff

my experiences with google checkout were vastly better than with paypal.

Yeah, I find google checkout less bad than paypal.

They don't assign ownership of your credit card, for example.

I think they can be mitigated to make the hacker's lives more difficult.

for instance, right now they don't even hit our web site at all.

we could force them to create shopping carts and submit those to google checkout.

that gives us more power to check the donations before sending them on.

like, if you're making a donation we can check to see if you have a valid editor name.

all of these make their lives more difficult.

so they will find some other place to scam off of.

we're just making it too easy for them right now.

while they don't accept paypal, I know that easynews is another very popular target for testing credit cards
