think it'd be worth doing one final release to make the thing use puids instead of trms?
2008-03-15 07550, 2008
petros bites tongue instead of calling those kind of people names

what I am playing with is the idea of a different UI bolted on top of picard that is more track oriented.

I don't even have the tools around anymore. not to mention the lack of a windows box.
2008-03-15 07541, 2008
ojnkpjg
is trm still slated to go away with the next server revision?

Can't we just write a provocative page daring them to "get on the train" instead of being more stuck in the past than a movie with Cliff Curtis?
2008-03-15 07541, 2008
ojnkpjg
so how many GB smaller will that make the DB :P
2008-03-15 07517, 2008
ruaok
petros: no. the track oriented users are the most hateful internet users.
2008-03-15 07540, 2008
ruaok
they give nothing but pointless spiteful feedback about the best tool ever being ripped away from them.
2008-03-15 07547, 2008
ruaok rolls his eyes
2008-03-15 07553, 2008

stupid idiots.
2008-03-15 07506, 2008

2008-03-15 07516, 2008
ojnkpjg
those are the best kind of users
2008-03-15 07525, 2008
petros
have we aver had measurable problems with badmouthing 'lusers'?
2008-03-15 07513, 2008
ruaok
ojnkpjg: well, those who complain loudest are the ones who are least likely to do something about it.
2008-03-15 07525, 2008
ojnkpjg
that's usually how it goes, yeah
2008-03-15 07535, 2008
ojnkpjg
people who feel entitled, for some strange reason
2008-03-15 07537, 2008
ruaok
petros: I've experienced more than my fair share of getting hate mail from these people.
2008-03-15 07540, 2008
ojnkpjg
but won't do anything about it
2008-03-15 07547, 2008

and I always have to smile and apologize to them.

2008-03-15 07513, 2008

2008-03-15 07505, 2008
akiel
sorry, I'm a bit lazy to find this in the docs. If I have mix ExtraTitleInformation and feat. ExtraTitleInformation in which order should I write them?
2008-03-15 07517, 2008
MClemo
huh... I'd put feat. first
2008-03-15 07542, 2008
akiel
thanks - do you have a reference to the docs?
2008-03-15 07545, 2008

akiel: it depends
2008-03-15 07557, 2008
akiel
ah it depends nice :-)
2008-03-15 07507, 2008
Shepard
if someone featured on the original version, put the feat. first
2008-03-15 07521, 2008
Shepard
if someone only featured in the remix, put the feat. last :)

2008-03-15 07501, 2008
akiel
its on a sampler
2008-03-15 07514, 2008
akiel
what should I do?
2008-03-15 07549, 2008
Shepard
I guess the featuring artist is on all versions, so I'd put it first and append (radio mix) to the end
2008-03-15 07507, 2008
akiel
yes this sounds good
2008-03-15 07522, 2008

I think it should be Celebration (radio party rap)" not "Celebration (radio Party Rap)" as guess case suggests - am I right?
2008-03-15 07545, 2008
akiel
or "Celebration (Radio Party rap)" ?
2008-03-15 07515, 2008
Shepard
radio party rap, I'd say
2008-03-15 07528, 2008
Shepard
guess case can only guess, not know :)
2008-03-15 07550, 2008
akiel
maybe "rap" should be included in the lower case words - like mix

trying to read up on it before I ask too many questions, but while your still here, could you tell me how the database and lucene interact? Does lucene require its own dictionary sorta thing, does it get its dictionary from a database query, or does it itegrate directly with postgre via some module?
